User Experience at Domestic Appliances

User experience tests are very important for domestic appliances, because the interaction of products and users are the highest level in home appliance sector. The appliances need to be designed by user centered approach. In addition, User experience is needed in order to increase the customer satisfaction, increase sales, improves brand perception, reduce costs of development and customer service.

The process of effective user experience may not be as easy as it seems. In order to achieve high quality user experience; there must be a seamless merging of the multiple disciplines; including engineering, marketing, graphical and industrial design, and interface design.

In this workshop, usability test method will be discussed for physical products. Morover, usability tests will be fulfilled on domestic appliances; definination of persona, preparation of user scenario, implementation of the scenario, evaluation of test result.
