Approaching the Metaverse
Right now, the term “Metaverse” is a contested future vision, claimed by different stakeholders with their own perspectives and motivations. In this talk I want to explore several models how to approach the Metaverse as a concept and make it more relatable for brands & businesses. The talk also looks at the trajectory of different aspects and thus why the Metaverse might not emerge evenly for all industries or organizations.

Meet Dirk Songür
Dirk Songuer is a strategist with a strong technical, people and business background. He helps clients explore potential futures, understand their impact, identify desirable outcomes, and make those actionable with roadmaps, milestones, and clear next steps. He worked on brand experiences on the web and the physical world, including online platforms & communities, digital retail as well as theme parks, hotels and casinos and city-scale digital infrastructures. Customers included Nintendo of Europe, Audi, City of Dubai, DHL, Toyota, and CHANEL. Currently Dirk works for Microsoft on the strategic development and acceleration of the Internet of Things and Mixed Reality.
