The term design operations is around with different mental models and stretched definitions, for a while. Ebru will try to cover all these various definitions of DesignOps both as a mindset and as a role, in a broader perspective. She will seek answers to such questions: how it relates with DevOps culture, how it impacts design and moreover the complete product development lifecycle. Ebru is a designer at heart, and a design operations enthusiast based in Istanbul. Her journey started as a self-taught designer 10 years ago by working with several clients and product teams in order to create strong interactions and visual concepts in the field. Then, continued as a design leader to oversee and support design team dynamics, culture, and growth.

Currently, she is the DesignOps Manager at Commencis where she focuses on building successful products by bringing human-centered design approach into product development lifecycle. As a DesignOps person, she is responsible to overcome departmental roadblocks, optimize ways of working and evangelize the value of design in both organization and community.
