Combining Quantitative and Qualitative Insight to Build and Deliver Experiences
This talk will look at different sources of quantitative and qualitative data in user research and analytics and how to use multiple sources of data to get a holistic picture of what is and isn’t effective in your products and services. Combining quantitative and qualitative data tells a powerful story as well helping to make processes leaner, create virtuous cycles of user centered data driven delivery.
Who is Stephanie Marsh
Stephanie has been in User Research and User Experience since 2003 when she started her PhD in Using and Evaluating HCI Techniques in Geovisualization: Applying Standard and Adapted Methods in Research and Education in the School of Informatics at City University. Her experience spans being UX consultant, manager and researcher, across academia, client, agency side for lots of sectors including commerce, media, travel, charities, parliament and government. Making experiences that allow the user to do what they need and want to do and businesses to also meet their targets, through user experience research & design. She is currently the Head of User Research and Analysis at Government Digital Service.
