From the time of human existence to the present, the answer to the question “What is design for?” has changed. Expectations from design and the role of design have also changed with time.
In this speech, I will present the design approach of “ROKA Design for the Environment” brand, which produces products and solutions for recycling and waste, along with the product development cycle in “User, Market, Manufacturing” axes, as the founder of the company.
Yasemin Köse Artut is an industrial designer and entrepreneur, founder of ROKA Design for the Environment since 2016 and Yasemin Artut Design Studio since 2009. Searching for an innovative transformation of her productivity and entrepreneurial spirit into a positive impact for human and nature creates main focus of her works. Her focus and research fields are sustainable design, social design, upcycling design.
